Advanced Level 2 COMPREHENSION CHECK

What object manipulators can you create?
In your group of 2-3 students, construct a plow, scoop, and friction grabber. The trick is, you can only use the materials in the room with you.
(Hint: you cannot use VEX IQ kit parts. Try to think critically about what objects in the room could also be used for!)
If you're looking for an additional challenge, try to also construct a rotating joint, linkage, and elevator lifting mechanism. Still, only using the materials in the room with you!
When watching the above video of a VEX IQ elevator lifting mechanism, think about how the robot lifts objects vertically. Then, think about how you could accomplish this with your limited materials!
After you've completed these interactive activities, write down your 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses as an engineer. Discuss with someone in the classroom that is good at what may challenge you!
