What is the Challenge?
The VEX IQ robot needs to be tested to see how strong it is!
The VEX IQ robot - the chassis with a lifting mechanism - is capable of lifting up objects and driving in any direction.
The problem is that the robot needs to pick up the VEX 3-inch cube, and we don't know if the robot is strong enough!

How do we start?
Assemble in groups of 4 students, with 1 student from the advanced section (or a Facilitator!) available to help you.
With the provided VEX IQ kit chassis and lifting mechanism system, try to lift the WPI block of wood using Scratch code!
If you can't lift the wood, decide what gear ratio is the strongest, and rebuild the lifting mechanism with this strongest gear ratio. (you can ask your advanced helper student or Facilitator for help!)
With the gear ratio that can pick up the wood, tell the robot to pick up the wood, drive forward 12 inches, and put the wood down using Scratch programming.

How do I win?
The team that can solve the problem in the shortest amount of time is the Engineering Team of the Week!
Don't be afraid to ask for help - good luck!
