Great Job! You just built a robot! Now let's think about how you can change the robot's arm using what you learned about gears in lesson 2!

Gears 1.PNG

Option 1:Two Medium Gears

These gears are both the same size. Observe how fast the robot arm moves. Try putting an object into the arm. See if it can pick it up!

Option 2: Little Gear Driving a Large Gear

In this setup, a small gear is connected to the motor and drives the large gear. Try the same tests that you used in option 1 and observe what happens!

Option 3: Large Gear Driving a Little Gear

This time, a large gear is connected to the motor and drives the little gear. Using the same tests again, observe what happens!
