Programming Palooza
Robots don't think like people, so how do we communicate with them? Let's find out by learning about programming!
Step 3: Let's write a program!
1) Make your sprite move in a square around the screen
2) Customize your background! Maybe even add some sound effects!
*If you need extra help, watch the "add a backdrop" tutorial
NOTE: Why do we use Scratch?
Scratch is very similar to VEX IQ Block, the computer program used to program your VEX IQ robot! To see, open up the VEX IQ Blocks program:
Note: later we will learn how to do this in less steps using something called a loop!
Step 4: Try these challenges on Scratch!
To download the backdrops:

Save the picture to your computer

Upload the backdrop to scratch by hovering over the "choose a backdrop" icon in the lower right-hand corner and selecting the upload icon, as shown to the right
For more practice using loops, click on the cat sprite and do at least one of the following tutorials in Scratch (scroll down to find them):
1) Make it spin
2) Animate a sprite
3) Make it fly
